MURRUMBURRAH celebrates 150 years tomorrow and there are a heap of activities planned for the celebration.
There will be a street market with stalls galore, food, live entertainment, Clydesdale wagon rides, an animal farm, a jumping castle and also ‘boataplane’ rides.
A great collection of vintage cars will be on display including the Reid Family's Sulman Singer race car and antique engines will see a return to Mill Park.
The Museum and History Hall will be open on the day while the Courthouse hosts the fantastic Photographic Competition Exhibition with some great photographs from top photographers covering the walls in the "Best Ever" competition.
Pictures from the Murrumburrah area taken by Camera Club members will also be on display as will a collection of photos of all the houses in Murrumburrah and a large collection of antique cameras.
The TG Barnes building in Murrumburrah will be open to the public and will house the Harden Murrumburrah Horticultural Society’s Spring Flower Show.
Besides Stock's Native Nursery's Open Garden weekend, as part of the Australian Open Gardens Scheme, Geraldine Dwyer's garden in 344 Albury Lane will be open as well as another garden at 163 Clarke St.
The activities get underway from 10.30am with live entertainment featuring pipe bands and the Old Time Music Trio.
The official welcome and unveiling of a commemorative plaque will take place at 2.45pm and the street parade starts at 3pm eaturing, but not limited to a mobility scooter section. Everyone with a mobility scooter is encouraged to join in the fun.
All aboard the Lachlan Valley Rail Motor running from Young to Harden and Return. Board in Young at approximately 12.10pm, leaving Harden for the return at 5pm, with a shuttle bus from Harden to Murrumburrah.
